When I first started practicing yoga, I would always sit in the back of the class. Over time, I gradually made my way to the second row by the windows and eventually ended up sitting in the middle. However, moving to the front of the class was a big decision for me. Even though many of my fellow yogis suggested it, I always hesitated because I didn’t want it to feel forced. But one day, before Clari’s packed vinyasa class started, I saw a woman searching for a spot to sit. I offered her the small space next to me, and her partner struggled to squeeze his mat between two people at the back. That’s when I decided to take action. I gestured for him to come sit next to me, and then I moved to the front on the right side near the windows. It was a big step for me, but it felt right. Since I started sitting at the front of the class, I’ve found that I can focus more on my practice and feel more connected to the teacher and other yogis.
