Now that the summer is here in NY. I realize that I need to drink more water. Usually, in the middle of the night, while sleeping, Im so dehydrated that I drink myself a big ass glass of water, and after I have done it, it feels like back I am home in Livingston, Guatemala, dancing punta after a dance battle with my cousin Gilbert. One of the Yoga instructors understood my shoulder issues and was kind to her to teach me some stretches for my shoulder. She provided me with a youtube video that I’ve been watching and also provided me with a specific stretch. With her assistance, my therapy, and all the classes I do. I can feel the improvement of my shoulder healing and opening up. This month’s peak pose is the bird of paradise, which targets the hips, shoulder, and hamstring. I could do the posture, but lifting the leg part would take a while. My nutrition intake has been excellent: eating three meals daily
in mourning, oatmeal with bananas and strawberries, almond milk, or my favorite food, pancakes with vegetable egg whites. Or simply a protein shake with almond butter and 1 cup of oatmeal with almond milk. I will have some salmon with jasmine rice and vegetable spinach salad for lunch. And for dinner, some cereal. Notice I don’t drink water or fluids but need more H2o. Just because I clean does not mean I don’t indulge in junk food. I balance myself very well. I love cakes, family and friends cooking, but I can control myself very well. Plus, I’m trying to get better, so my nutrition got to be on point. Part of my journey is to start reading more about the practice of Yoga and the philosophy behind it. I only purchase three books. The first book is Yoga for men only by frank rudolph young. The complete book of vinyasa yoga by Srivatsa Ramaswami and Yoga Basics for men only by Dean Pohlman. The first book I will read is Yoga for Men, only by Frank Rudolph Young. I will briefly explain how I can be implicated in my practice. I just finished doing the 6 pm Vinyasa class, and my skills are improving with my flow. It was good to see people I have not seen in a while getting it in. always a pleasure to see them and talk with them. I can speak too much in the yoga studio.
