So, on Sunday, I was supposed to do two classes. The 10 am class 26 and 2 am and 10 am vinyasa class, but I could not do the two types because of the schedule change. I forgot that classes started at 8 am and the vinyasa class began at 10 am. I did exactly what the instructor told me to do. I sat in the front by the Windows, which was uncomfortable. It was unconformable because looking at myself in the mirror and listening to the instructor is a listening skill that I need to work on. I usually look at other people to ensure I’m doing the correct movement, but that’s an incredible realization I notice about myself that I need to master if I want to become a yoga teacher next year. While sitting in front of the mirrors, I was still looking outside, which was a distraction to my practice. Now, I must step up and sit in the middle without windows. Just me and the mirror
I usually like to ask all the teachers how to improve my technique. They all say the same thing. You have excellent training. You need to stay focused and concentrate. One teacher even told me that if you master your exercise, you will lock the power within you. That is the level I want to get on, and I will. I went to my mother’s house to have lunch and see her. Also, when I went to see one of my best friends, it had been a while since we had spoken. I invited him to come with me and do yoga. I asked him if he would come to do yoga with me. I will go to the bar with you. Lol, a good deal. My mom made some broccoli and boiled chicken. I usually limited my chicken intake and ate the whole thing because I did not want to eat later that evening, plus that’s mom cooking.
From my mom’s house, I walk home. It was like a one-hour walk before going. Sleep I meditate for 20 minutes—a lot of deep breathing. The next time I’m going to do yoga is not until the following week, September 4, due to the construction of the yoga studio and the holidays. Until it is time for me to practice, I will continue to learn the vinyasa technique. Stretch out more of my shoulders and hips. I was going to do the yoga class on Sunday, but I have an essential event to attend that will help me with my yoga journey. Maybe I will not talk about it in the next blog post.
